The 83rd AFT Washington convention, with the theme "The Future Is Union-Made: We Are The Union!" was held May 18-21, 2023. The convention's delegates passed a number of resolutions, updated the bylaws and standing rules, and set AFT Washington's direction for the next two years. Read on to learn more about our upcoming work. The delegates to the 2023 AFT Washington Convention voted to approve amendments to the Bylaws and Standing Rules. You can download the amended Bylaws and Standing Rules here. 

The resolutions adopted at the AFT Washington Convention of May 18-20, 2023, held virtually, have been finalized and are available for your review. You can download a PDF of the resolutions here. Please note that the booklet also includes two resolutions passed outside of convention.

AFT Washington recognizes the important work members do for our locals, our communities, and the labor movement. It is the strength, dedication, and commitment by each one of us toward creating better working conditions and communities that makes us collectively powerful.
