Christine Landon

Christine Landon is a lifelong Washingtonian, raised on both sides of the mountains and a multiple degree holder from the University of Washington. After a broad variety of jobs working her way through school, she earned teaching and administrative credentials and worked in K-12 education in Seattle, La Conner, the Muckleshoot Tribe and Portland. Her gender transition led to her leaving K-12 for higher education in the mid-1990s. She taught ethnic studies as an adjunct professor at North Seattle (then, Community) College and Shoreline Community College, spending a year in between doing online course development at Highline Community College. She’s a published author and has edited or contributed to several others’ books. A committed unionist, she was elected to the boards of the Seattle and Shoreline locals and served both for years on their respective agreement management committees as well as several years as a delegate to the Martin Luther King Central Labor Council. She’s had lots of other professional and community experiences; just ask her. Mitakuye oyaŝin!
