The Equity in Education Coalition is excited and honored to present the Decolonizing Education Conference 2020, a multi-day conference that centers the voices of communities of color and anti-racism in education policy.
The Decolonizing Education Conference will be where we build advocacy, organizing, and policy-making strategies that work to undo institutional and systemic racism in the educational system.
We aim to bring together educators, school board members, legislators, education advocates, community-based organizations, parents, and students to examine the intersection of race and education, educational history, school funding, and implicit bias.
Through this conference we will: 1) share tools and create networks to make decolonizing education possible; 2) develop participant understanding of equity in education, and 3) mobilize advocates for future actions.
